Cafe/Restaurant manager at small business in Taupo. Austrian run small boutique brewery/cafe/bar looking for a full-time cafe manager
Excellent bar and waiting experience is essential. Manager Certificate and LCQ as well as previous experience in a supervisory/managers role. It would be an advantage if you are well travelled and have previous work experience in a brewery. 30+ hrs.
Greeting guests, bar tending, waiting, taking orders
Assisting chef with menu ideas and specials
Organising events and functions (stag-do's, birthdays, Oktoberfest, events etc.)
Cash handling and purchasing goods according to budget and stock
Taking reservations, conferring with guests needs and feedback
Maintaining safe and healthy work environment for staff and customers abiding to regulations
Training new members of staff and supervising staff
Must be able to work flexible and late hours, as well as weekends and public holidays. Fluency in English written and spoken is compulsory. Appreciation of crafted beer is recommended! High level of cleanliness and attention to detail expected. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with speed during busy times. Preference for non-smokers.
Must have a clean history. Random drug testing is mandatory.
