We are looking for a full time Brewer able and willing to take charge of all aspects of brewing from production to packaging and everything in between.

The successful candidate will amongst other things, have some commercial brewing experience and has had time spent in the industry.

The applicant must be confident in their approach to the brewing process whilst being flexible and adaptable to change, able to show initiative and take charge of the brew days and packaging runs.

The successful candidate will be working directly along side management to forecast, plan and initiate brew plans integral to the smooth operation and running of the brewery.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Brewing a core range of already established beers, to existing recipes and standards.

Managing an assistant brewer to help with duties around the brewery.

Kegging and bottling.

Delivering Kegs if and when needed

Ordering stock ( grain, hops, chemicals etc) and stock management.

Keeping accurate records of brew days and day to day events.

Keg cleaning and brewery maintenance.

Creating new recipes from scratch.

You will need to have / be:

Full driving license

Exceptional knowledge of the brewing process

Over 25 years old

Able to lift 62KG Kegs

Numerically adept

A great communicator

A positive, strong work ethic

Reliable

Eager to learn and progress

Flexible and able to adapt to last minute changes

Desirable to have :

Commercial brewing experience

Forklift licence ( this may be paid for by Te Aro for the right applicant )

Health and safety regulatory knowledge and experience.
