Reporting to the Production Manager at Good George Brewing, the Packaging Manager will be responsible for day to day management of Packaging team. This position will be responsible for in-specification packaging of all production bottling, canning, and kegging, ensuring the end product is ready on time, as needed by our sales team, to sell to very thirsty customers!
Primary job responsibilities will include:
Supervising up to 6 team members in a fast-paced packaging environment
Develop and manage a Packaging Team that is focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and a high level of performance.
Maximizes output by reducing downtime through effective management of packaging changeover, equipment maintenance, and breakdown time.
Maintain a clean work environment, elevating safety, quality, recycling, and housekeeping standards for all Operators throughout the Packaging areas.
Measure line efficiency and current practices to develop and implement improvements.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
Food/Beverage or other production experience is essential
Technical experience with packaging equipment or similar packaging systems and ability to fix it on the fly!
Shop Floor supervisory/leadership experience, balanced with getting your hands dirty on a daily basis
Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a ‘get-it-done, can-do’ approach to running a team
Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills
Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment
Able to impact and effect positive change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach
Competent in using Microsoft Office
