We are looking for a Marketing and Sales Manager to help grow our online and direct marketing program and overall strategic business and sales strategy. With a relevant Bachelor’s degree, we are seeking applicants who have significant experience in implementing and managing marketing projects and digital activity across multiple brands. In addition to, driving the overall growth and sales strategy and working with existing sales relationships and customers.

Ideally, the successful candidate has experience within the brewing industry. As Marketing and Sales Manager at b.effect you will wear many hats. This is a role within the business working across all departments with full oversight of our entire operation. This is an extremely diverse role, and requires someone with strengths in 3 key areas of the role, with significant experience and advanced skills in the following areas required:

Entitlement to work in New Zealand

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, influencing and interpersonal skills to build relationship and collaboration across different departments

Advanced proficiency in Google Suites and Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong advanced Excel is expected.

High level of craft beer product and brewing/fermentation process knowledge

Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25kg

International Sales and Relationship experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance

Hospitality experience

Digital Marketing

Commercial Photography and Videography experience, including postproduction and production of short film clips

Experience in Adobe Suites (Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro)

Social Media Campaign development and management across Facebook, Instagram, and Mailchimp

B2B and B2C marketing and sales knowledge

Proficiency in measuring and reporting of the performance of digital communications and ability to assess content performance against goals (ROI and KPIs)

Experience in website development including building and maintaining company wide website. Experience using WordPress and Woo Commerce is critical.

Experience in using platforms including Hootsuite, Mailchimp and Monday would be an advantage

Copywriting and blog production

Sales and Strategic Business Development

Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and setting sales targets in order to maximise sales and customer loyalty

Driving Off and On Premise Channel Strategy, Performance KPI’s, and goals to achieve annual growth targets

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working relationships with top level account decision makers, distributors, and all internal stakeholders

Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems – experience in ZoHo CRM software preferred

Existing relationships in the NZ and International craft beer industry

Event planning experience with the ability to coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors

Relevant experience doing SWOT analysis and identifying and mapping long term business strategies

Ability to follow industry trends both locally and internationally and strategise accordingly

Financial Analysis and Forecasting

Financial forecasting experience with the ability to build a yearly budget and produce weekly and monthly financial reports

Proficiency in accounting, invoicing and product management software, specifically Xero and Unleashed

Ability to analyse, problem solve, make decisions, and conduct quantitative analysis to provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities

Experience drafting and reviewing business and vendor contracts

Ability to evaluate ROI, economic, and strategic cost-benefits of marketing campaigns, current and future sales strategies, and product placement in the industry

The successful applicant will be a team player who takes pride in their work and supports the development and growth of the wider business through developing and implementing, sound marketing and sales strategies for key customers that will drive volume, growth, and maximize opportunities for the customer. They will ideally have a background in the craft beer industry, and experience brewing. Will need to be able to be comfortable in the brewing process, as they will need to spend time in fast paced, hazardous environment to document all aspects of the brewing process for both social media and tactical campaigns.

The role may require some flexibility of hours, as well as the ability to turn on a hand at varied number of tasks.
