It’s becoming more and more clear: good business is good for business.

We’re pleased to announce this year’s theme for #BREWNZ is A Sustainable Future: Caring for our people and our planet. The conference will be a chance to explore new ways to meet the challenges that our industry face on the path toward a more sustainable future.


From water disposal to recycling to mental health, this is chance to come together, share our learnings and look for ways to work together towards solutions that benefit the industry as a whole.

The Brewers Guild exists to grow the value and quality of the New Zealand beer sector. We do this by working together, sharing our knowledge and pooling our resources.

The Brewers Guild Conference is the largest gathering of brewing industry leaders in New Zealand. This year, the conference will explore A Sustainable Future - Caring for our people and our planet. It’s a chance to look more closely at the social and environmental challenges ahead and to explore new and interesting solutions. Our conference will take place on Friday, 18 October, 2019.


If you have relevant past experience or new insights to share with this audience, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply to present a keynote, panel discussion or workshop. If you have a passion for people or the environment, consider putting yourself forward as a speaker.

Speaker Guidelines

The aim of the Conference is to inspire, inform and challenge attendees. All speaking slots are non-commercial and not promotional opportunities.

Speaking Sessions consist of 20 to 60 minute time slots.  Speakers should prepare for 15 to 55 minutes of content, along with 5 minutes at the end of the session for Q&A from attendees.

Panels may consist of 3-5 participants.

In most cases, the Guild does not cover speakers’ travel and expenses.

  • The topic that you would like to speak about,

  • How your topic supports our conference theme?

  • How your presentation will enrich the experience of participants?

  • How long you would like to speak for.

If you are interested in a panel discussion - but do not have a complete panel, please let us know and we will work with you to see what is possible.
