A vacancy has become available for an experienced Warehouse Operator/Administrator to join our team.
The role is to carry out warehouse functions and be responsible for the accurate movement and control of goods/stock, including the execution of daily functions and processes in the warehouse environment to achieve and deliver agreed standards of service to internal and external customers. To maintain the warehouse zone including associated tasks within it.
About you:
As the ideal candidate, you will have a positive, can-do attitude and an excellent work ethic, and you will see yourself in the logistics environment for the long haul. You will have at least one year’s warehouse experience (inwards goods receipt, warehouse operations, order picking, goods dispatch), and you will have training and experience to a level where you are capable of covering all tasks involved with general warehouse work. You will be required to learn our operating procedures that includes health and safety, food safety and Brewery operations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Maintaining inwards and outward goods
records
• Maintaining accurate warehouse stock
records
• Stock rotations and stock control
• Keg records maintained and keg stocks
rotated
• Dispatching of orders as per specific
requirements in accurately, on time and
in good condition
• Freight – optimise loading/wait times
• Pallet control – perform quality checks,
rejects monitored, minimise daily usage
and maintain records
• Import and export containers –
inspection, record keeping, loading and
unloading of containers accurately and
safely
• Maintaining a safe, clean, tidy, efficient
and effective warehouse at all times
• Maintaining all brewery vehicles and
equipment in a clean, tidy and well
maintained condition
• Assisting in general yard duties
• Identifying and actioning safety
concerns
Key skills required:
• Forklift experience and current OSH
qualification required
• At least one year’s relevant experience,
ideally in an FMCG environment
• Safely able to lift heavy objects 20kg
and under
• Physically fit
• Good knowledge of health and safety
and food safety requirements
• Computer literate and capable of
operating Assura (health and safety
management system)
• Have worked in, and be familiar with a
LEAN operating environment
• Excellent spoken English
