The Fermentist is a microbrewery and taproom in Christchurch, dedicated to explorations and discoveries in fermentation & sustainability, founded in 2018.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the team. This is a newly created role reporting to our General Manager Craft and is based in Christchurch.

As our Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of the sales and marketing activity and performance for the Fermentist. Key tasks will include achieving an ambitious sales plan through working with Lion as the primary distributor of our beer, as well as building customer relationships and driving direct sales. You will also work with the Lion Marketing team to execute the marketing plan for the business. This role will also play a key role in coaching and supporting the Brewing and Hospitality functions of the Fermentist, as well as having our Brewery Administrator as a direct report.

You will need to be a motivated & driven sales and marketing professional, who is passionate about craft beer and sustainability, and be willing to roll your sleeves up to drive this small business forward.
