Senior & Junior Brewery Operators

bStudio Ltd is a service provider to the craft beer industry, based in beautiful Napier, Hawkes Bay. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality service and products through employing the best technology, process efficiencies and people. The facility is fully managed under a HACCP based food safety program which follows strict production policies and procedures to ensure our company values of exceptional service and quality product are met to exceed our client’s expectations.

We are currently seeking applications for two people in hands-on roles, as part of our brewing and cellar team. You will be helping to make some of New Zealand’s best craft beers, and over time you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of production in a sophisticated modern facility.

Requirements:

For the Senior role, a brewing qualification is a requirement, along with at least 3 years of previous brewery experience including knowledge of automation/SCADA systems and experience training junior staff.

Experience and qualifications are preferred for the Junior role, however we will consider applications from those who can prove a genuine interest in our industry, are willing to learn, and can show that they have the exceptional attention to detail and the technical capabilities that this role requires.

 

Key Functions:

These are brewery operations roles. You will be expected to become proficient in all aspects of brewery operation in the bStudio environment, and to perform these tasks accurately and efficiently while:

Upholding the strict hygiene standards necessary;

Understanding and prioritizing beer quality;

Ensuring customer specifications are met;

Accurately completing all production documentation.

Understanding the importance of quality systems and controls

Learning to operate computerised machinery.

Sterilisation and maintenance of brewing equipment.

 

Key Attributes & Qualities:

The brewery has a small operational team. Therefore, we work varying split shifts to make sure that our work gets done on schedule, and that we always do what is best for the beer.

We require someone who can deliver the following attributes and qualities:

Previous brewery experience, a brewing qualification or genuine interest in the industry.

Self-motivated desire to learn and improve

Accuracy is the real key to these roles: getting the little things right every day is what allows us to deliver consistent quality beer. You must genuinely possess great attention to detail.

Proven and strong work ethic.

Time management skills.

Problem solving skills

Flexible when confronted with change.

Can communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and in written form.

Ability to multi-task, as team members need to manage several tasks at once.

Can work occasional rostered weekend and outside of normal working hours.

Ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually when required.
