Welcome to Mata Beer. Our company is Aotearoa Breweries. We are a family run business Our Managing Director and Head Brewer is Tammy Viitakangas who is passionate about brewing Kiwi beers with unique New Zealand flavours along with the rest of the team being her mum and dad and Uncle Esko.
Our award winning micro-brewed MATA beers are handcrafted in a boutique brewery in Kawerau, Eastern Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. A place that is surrounded by stunning ranges, vast forestry and abundant lakes, rivers and the renowned Tarawera Falls.
MATA handcrafted premium beers are brewed by Aotearoa Breweries NZ Ltd who are passionate about developing beers that have unique New Zealand flavours.
All MATA Premium Handcrafted beers are GENUINELY PURE and NATURAL. No preservatives, additives, finings or added sugars are used. Brewed with malt from New Zealand, Britain and Germany, yeast sourced from the USA and New Zealand hops. All MATA beers are brewed using 100% pure artesian water which is sourced specially from a local acquifer and transported 16 kilometres to the brewery.
